Description:Introduction to secure data and voice communications. Topics include theoretical basis of cryptography, random cipher systems, practical security schemes, linear and nonlinear shift registers and encryption algorithms, block encipher and NBS data encryption standard (DES), public key cryptography, RSA, knapsack algorithms, digital signatures and authentication, security of computer networks, cryptographic protocols, key management, speech security, voice scrambling.
