Workshop on
       Mobility Management for Personal Communications
                      Co-sponsored by IEEE
                      September 8-9, 1994
            George Mason University, Fairfax, VA

In mobile and personal communications systems support for mobility
of terminal equipment and users is an essential function. Smaller
cell sizes, varying mobility patterns of users, and the requirement
of unified wireless access to information and communication sources
as well as automatic roaming capability across different systems
have brought about the necessity of efficient mobility management.
This workshop is intended to provide a vehicle for presentation and
discussion of new contributions in this area. Topics of interest in
this workshop include but are not limited to:

Impact of access methods: TDMA and CDMA
Multi-user channels: models, performance, multimode
Traffic modeling and Control traffic
Handover and call control
Dynamic channel assignment
Location update, registration, and roaming
Addressing and routing
Signalling protocols
Databases
Authentication
Network architecture
Intelligent Network concepts
Features and feature interaction in mobility
